Why art therapy?

From 2011 we are member of  European Outsider Art Association (EOA)

The Fund’s project OUTsiderburg assigns itself to the following tasks:

1) Combining the growing interest to outsider-art in the areas of medicine, psychiatry, psychology, the social sector, art and culture

2) Development and popularization of Russian outsider culture in Russia and abroad

3) Raising public awareness within the Russian population toward trends of modern art, art-brute and outsider-art already popular in Europe.

4) Social adaptation of outsiders by means of an artists’ artistic and souvenir production as well as other goods of outsiders’ art, which have artistic value. 

5) Inclusion of outsiders into the cultural scene and the establishment of communications between outsiders and the wider society.

6) Creation of a Russian art collection of outsider-artists. 

7) Assistance to art-therapists, psychiatric hospitals and art-schools equipping art-studios, attracting necessary sponsors and overcoming of administrative and other barriers.
